Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 may be Discontinued, but that doesn’t mean some of its unique software features are going away.
If you have a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, a new update ‘Always on Display’ is available in the Galaxy Apps store. It was Released just a few days ago, the new version 1.4.02 of the Always on Display brings a number of new customization options that were previously only available on the Note 7.
This new update version replaces two of the existing calendar themes with an all-new calendar option. There is a new digital clock that lets you add your own custom text signature, which can be customized with a different font or color. In addition, ‘Always on Display’ will show your currently playing music track. Samsung also says Always on Display now takes up less than 1% of battery every hour.
They may not have an S Pen or many fancy note-taking features, but these are close Enough.
How to update..?
Go to Settings>Display>Always On Display> About Always On Display>Update.
