Cyclone Kyant, which is getting strong in the Bay of Bengal, will cause heavy rainfall in many districts of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa in the next 48 hours under the impact of a deep depression that is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).
It is the first cyclone of the season to develop in the Bay of Bengal. According to private weather forecaster Skymet Weather Services, “The cyclone will continue to move into west-northwest direction. Thereafter, it will shift westwards and then towards southwest Bay of Bengal by early Thursday.”
Farmers and fishermen are advised to take precaution.
So, it is more likely to be a wet Diwali in Odissha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu.
